Staying Motivated When Working From Home

Working from home is fun and convenient. It allows you to be from from commuting back and forth to work, wearing and tearing your car, and allows you to save gas money. While Working from home is rewarding you must stay motivated in order to stay productive. Here are some ways to stay motivated while working from home.


1. Get the Proper Amount of Sleep:

It is recommended that you get between 7 to 9 hours of sleep. This will allow you to stay refreshed and alert. Your energy levels will be full steam ahead.


2. Eat a well balanced diet:

Eating a well balanced diet as well as eating breakfast can fuel your mind body and soul. We often get into the habit of skipping breakfast, which is the most important meal of the day. Doing so can cause us not be fully functional and our body missing the proper nutrition. Try eating something like a fruit or some cereal for breakfast if you don't have time or don't desire a biscuit.


3. Exercise Regularly:

Exercising regularly will give you that boost of energy that you desire and need to last throughout the day. The best time is to exercise early in the morning before your shift. A nice walk, jog, or weight training session will do the trick.


4. Spend Sometime In the Sunshine:

In warm temps, it is advised that on your breaks that you take that time to regroup and have some outdoor time. Take this time to breath deeply. Listen to some smooth music that will help get you into positive vibes. Sometimes dealing with customers can drain you, but don't be disappointed. Regrouping with nature and good music will change your atmosphere.


5. Meditate:

For some this means meditating on positive thoughts before your shift, on your breaks, and also after work. This allows you to release any negative energy that you may be holding or may have encountered during the day.


6. Use positive affirmations:

Using positive affirmations will allow you to focus on the good and not the bad. It will cause you to disregard those irritated and rude customers that may frustrate you.


7. Add Plant Life:

Adding some nice beautiful plants will enhance the mood of your work from home office. This allows you to look at the plant and be in awe of its beauty. Beautiful flowers like roses or anything with a sweet fragrance will help lighten the mood and make the day brighter.


8. Use Good Lighting:

Face it. No one likes bland and dark lighting. Dark lighting gives the mood of doom and gloom. Many of us that have worked in fluorescent lighting know the effects that it has on our mood and mindset. Having a nice bright lamp and plenty of color will help you stay motivated as well as enhance your mood while working from home.
